]]>Jon Bates from Coaching Centred facilitated the event, and Allan, Gavin and Jo from the Cornish Pirates coaching team delivered the practical activity. Additionally, the former Director of Rugby for the Cornish Pirates, Ian Davis, provided valuable insights into communication and the session design.

The conference included sessions focused on:
– **Team Mindset, Strategy & Turnover Gains**: Coaches explored how to convert possession shifts into tangible advantages in the game.
– **Phase Defence Insights**: Emphasis was placed on adapting defensive principles based on pitch location and the dynamics surrounding the ruck.
– **Session Design for Decision-Making**: Interactive discussions aimed to refine techniques for session progression that enhance players’ decision-making capabilities.
These sessions were structured to translate directly into improved training designs and effective game-day strategies.
The event fostered peer-to-peer learning and reinforced the importance of continuous improvement through collaboration.
Stay tuned for further game development activities.

Following the success of last year’s coaching conference we are pleased to confirm we have scheduled for Saturday 12 July 2025. The invited coaches will be announced in the coming weeks.
