Cornwall U18 Girls kicked off their 2025/26 campaign by hosting Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union U18’s at Truro and Penwith College on Sunday, 7th December. The team produced a spirited performance against tough opposition, showing resilience and determination throughout the contest.
With the score leaning in Gloucestershire’s favour, play was halted early in the second half due to an injury. After receiving immediate on-field medical attention and a precautionary hospital visit, the player was thankfully given a clean bill of health.
Despite the result, the Cornwall girls demonstrated commendable skill, courage, and fighting spirit scoring a well worked try in dreadful conditions. Their commitment to each other and refusal to yield against a strong Gloucester side set the tone for a season built on pride and perseverance.
